Mark your calendar for Memorial Day weekend 2012!

Our 50th Reunion promises to be as memorable as it is fun! Our Reunion Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012. We also have some other great events scheduled for the weekend, with still others “on the drawing board” awaiting volunteers to coordinate the events.

Please visit our Idea Page, and let us know which event(s) you’d be interested in attending and/or coordinating.

Register online at our AHS Class of 1962 website at ClassReport.org!

In addition to online registration, be sure to log-on and update your classmate profile. If you like, you can also add a bio, photos and any other info you’d like to share with your classmates. While you’re there, you can browse the Class Directory — which is much like browsing an online yearbook of classmate photos, except that you can also find updated info on some of your classmates. Explore around the site! There’s lots to see. And, as more classmates update their profiles, bios and photos, it will only get better between now and reunion time!

Salley, thank you for the info! Two notes to add on the list. The White House Inn is no longer a B&B. I believe they still operate as a wedding chapel. The Town & Country Inn is NOT located behind Duke’s BBQ (which is several miles further down the road). It is located about 1 mile past the Aiken Mall. Traveling from town on Whiskey Road, you’ll see Sizemore Circle on the right, just before the entrance to College Acres. There is a Town & Country sign right there on Whiskey, so it’s easy to find.

Thanks for the corrections. I was born and raised in Aiken and I come back often. I was using an old phone book. Sorry. I was thinking about Sizemore Road which is just off of Talatha Church Road by the Sizemore’s Air Strip. Hope you all have a wonderful reunion. We had our 50th in 2009 at The Museum and Newberry Hall. Found out about the Museum by mistake and it doesn’t cost anything.

    Nancy,
Rather than take up space on IGUIASC FB page, here is a list of all B & B’s and Inns in Aiken.

Annie’s Inn, 3083 Charleston Hwy, Montmorenci, Phone 803-649-6836
Aiken Carriage House, 139 Laurens St. NW. Phone 803-644-5888
Rose Hill Estate, 221 Greenville St. NW. Phone 803-648–1181
White House Inn, 240 Newberry St.SW. Phone 803-649—2935
Town and Country Inn, 5195 Sizemore Circle, Phone 803-642-0270 (Behind Dukes BBQ)
Briar Patch, 544 Magnolia St. Phone 803-649-2010
Guest House at Houndslake, 897 Houndslake Dr. Phone 803-648-9535
Willcox, 100 Colleton Ave, SE Phone 803-648-1898

My last pick would be Guest House at Houndslake. It’s gotten rather shabby the last few years.
    Good luck with your reunion.
